July 14, 2013 - El Paso Times - Lawsuit over former El Paso priest abuse settled

 

August 24, 2013 - Another alleged sexual abuse victim linked to a former El Paso priest has filed suit, said Lori Watson, a lawyer in Dallas.

"Another victim came forward who was also sexually abused by (the Rev.) Alfonso Madrid," Watson said in a statement. "This plaintiff was 8 years old when he was sexually abused by Madrid at Sacred Heart Church in the El Paso (Catholic) Diocese in 1974-1975." (source El Paso Times)

July 11, 2013 - A settlement was reached today with the New Orleans Province of the Jesuit Order and the El Paso Diocese for a suit filed by a former student and parishioner. Full Press Release here. Latest Petition here.

He served at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Catholic Diocese of San Antonio (1966 -1970).

He also served at Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Diocese of El Paso (1970-1982) San Felipe Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico (1961-1966).
